12 X 12 Layout: Valentines 2010

I made this LO a few weeks ago, but didn't get a chance to post it. This LO is about our Valentines Day. The papers and rub-ons are from BoBunny's Love Bandit collection.

There's a pink envelope below our picture, which actually has a "love" note inside. I wanted to journal on the LO and keep the message private at the same time. The envelope was the perfect solution! :)

Project Update

Hi guys!

I wanted to give you an update on what I've been working on. I actually have 2 projects in the works:

Project # 1: Christmas 2009 mini album
Project # 2: Paper bag mini album

I am really excited about my paper bag mini album! I've seen so many great paper bag mini albums and always thought to myself, "I would love to make that someday". Well, it's about time I give it a try. I'm about half way done and will post pictures as soon as I'm finished.

What have you been working on?

12 X 12 Layout: Aaden's first hair cut

Happy Father's Day!!!
I hope you are having fun with all the Fathers in your life. :)

Here's a LO of Aaden's first hair cut. I had a lot of circles on this LO for a softer look. My LO tends to be very squarish, so I wanted a different angle. I love the little scissor embellishment! It's a chipboard from Maya Road. I added a little paint and it was good to go. Thanks for stopping by!

12 X 12 Layout: Aaden's first solid food

Hi! I am so happy to be home after a long day at work. While I enjoy what I do during the day, I really look forward to some crafty time at night! I try to squeeze 30 minutes of artsy time each night, but it doesn't always work out. Also, I'm a slooow scrapper, so it literally takes days for me to finish a layout. BUT I enjoy the process and the end product! :) hehe

Tonight, I wanted to share a layout of Aaden's first solid food. This is going into his 'milestone' album. Thanks for looking!

Handmade Lollipop Flowers

Okay, here's another flower I made from watching Arlene's youtube tutorial. I am having way too much fun with these!!!! I can't wait to use these on a LO or a card!

My first completed lollipop flower. hehe

I love the look of feathers behind the flower, but it just reminds me of my pet bird. :( So, I decided to dress these flowers up with some beautiful Prima ribbon and tulle. :)

Again, a special thanks to Arlene not only for the tutorial, but the inspiration!!!!

***PLEASE LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE***
I bought the satin fabric from Joann's. Please check both sides of the fabric to make sure they have a sheen. The fabric I bought is shiny on one side and looks like cotton on the other side. That will not work for this project!

Organza Ribbon Flowers

I want to say a big "THANK YOU" to Arlene at butterflykisseswithlove.blogspot.com. After watching her youtube tutorial, I gave the Organza Ribbon Flowers a try. After my first completed flower, I was hooked! With every completed flower, I feel a bit happier! Arlene, you are so right when you said making the flowers is therapeutic.

Please check out her youtube tutorials (mybutterflykisses12). They're great!

For the flower center, I used Prima's Say It In Pearls Centers. Thanks for looking!

12 X 12 Layout: Easter 2010

Easter was super fun to scrap! I made a LO for each of my boys because it's going into their individual special events/milestone album. I felt challenged when I did these LOs because I used the same paper collection for both boys. I made sure the LOs did not look the same.

Here's a better photo of this layout.

Card: It's a Boy!

My kids have been sick the past few days and today they are doing a lot better. So that means I got to squeeze in some scrappy time!

This week, we're going to a party to celebrate a baby boy's 1-month into this world. I don't know what it is about babies, but looking at them gives me hope and joy. :) Here's a card I made for the party.

When I was looking for embellishments, I found so many Jolee's stickers. I thought I'll put some to use on this card. When I started scrapbooking, I thought Jolee's stickers were the best thing in the world (that's because I only shopped at Micheal's). That all changed when I found and walked into my first local scrapbooking store! hehe
