2nd Christmas in May

I hope you're having a good Saturday! May is almost over, and I'm almost done with all my incomplete projects. It's such a good feeling when something goes from "in progress" to "complete"! hehe Today, I wanted to share a few pages of our 2008 Christmas album. The papers are from Cosmo Cricket's Jolly By Golly collection. Enjoy!

Christmas in May

I finally completed our Christmas 2007 album. The papers are from American Craft.

Since the papers were originally 12x12, I cut them down for this 8x8 album. I used the scraps to make the house and tree.

Here's our first Christmas as a family.

Sweet Santa Adam.

I love this layout of Adam and Auntie Joyce.

More 12X12 Layouts!!!

Hi everyone! I hope you're having a good week! I finally got my laptop fixed, so I'm super happy. :)

Here are the 12X12 LOs I worked on during my laptop 'down' time. For a gal who LOVES pattern paper, I think it's funny that I use mostly plain cardstock for my LOs. hehe That reminds me, I promised myself that I can not buy any more paper until I (significantly) use what I currently have. So, the other day, when I was organizing my scrappy space, I found a box filled with pattern papers! LOL! Just when I thought I had more than enough, I find MORE. I really need to start using them on my LOs. hehe Okay, I got sidetracked there...here are the LOs. Enjoy!

I cut the cupcakes from pattern paper and added stickles. I misspelled 'tiramisu'
on the LO! Yikes, I fixed that already. :)

I love graduations! Here's page 1 0f 2. This one focuses on the graduate!

Page 2 of 2. I used American Crafts' thickers for '2009'
and some rubons.

Blog Break

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a great Saturday! I will not be updating my blog for the next few days. My laptop keeps turning off on me, so I'm taking it in to the 'doctor' today. Hopefully, all will be well next week. BUT, I'll keep myself busy and make sure I complete a few projects. Thanks for stopping by!

Update and 12 X 12 Layout: Go Angels

I've been storing my pictures in iphoto for almost 3 years, and just a few days ago, it ran out of space! I have over 25,000 pictures! Yikes, I'm so glad I only scrapbook a fraction of it. Anyway, I've been deleting blurry or duplicate photos the last few days, and will start to back them up soon. I can't stand the thought of losing these precious pictures!

Today, I'm sharing a LO of my hubby and I at the old Yankee Stadium. Hope you like it!

Random Act of Kindness (RAK)

I was sooo touched when my aunt gave me a bag of scrapbooking goodies. It means so much to me that she thought of me when she saw scrapbooking supplies. I can't wait to use them! Thank you Auntie Michelle.

Travel album

Happy National Scrapbooking Day! I hope you either shopped or scrapped today...or even better, did BOTH! I did a little online shopping...but didn't really find any must-haves (I think I'm having a little shopping withdrawal). So, if there's anything you'll recommend to other scrappers, please leave a comment and I'll check it out. Who knows, that might just cure me. :)

So today, I want to share a travel album I made for my sister. She's been quite the traveler lately, so I made her a blank album where all she needs to do is add the pictures and journaling. I think it's so important to document your experience while it's still fresh in your mind.

I love the front cover!

The "W" is for "Wonderful".

The tags are journaling spots.

There are a few half pages in this album. I think it'll be fun for journaling or for attaching receipts, tickets, etc.

I included a few book plates for labeling.

I love the huge key! It was blank chipboard, but I covered it with crackle paint (I believe it was in Aged Mahogany).

Another really awesome key! :)

For the right page, I (partly) use a technique taught by Marion Smith from apieceofcraft.com. On her tutorial, I think she used white paint on the distress ink, giving it a more faded/distress look. I skipped the white paint because I like how the bold colors give a nice contrast to the black embossed florals.

I love the huge paper clip!

On the back cover, there's a Maya Road envelope. I glimmer misted it in Auburn and Olive Vine.

I can't wait to see what my sister fills up in this album. :)
